Brick Breaker – play online for free
Brick Breaker is FunPort's paddle-and-ball challenge with levels, an endless run and useful power-ups. Steering the return angle is as important as keeping the ball alive.
Level play rewards controlled clearing; endless play tests ball control at increasing speed.

Break every brick
- Slide your finger to steer the paddle.
- Keep the ball in play — don't let it fall.
- Catch power-ups: cannons, wide paddle and more.
- Clear the level before your lives run out.
Practical strategy tips
- Hit with the side of the paddle to change the return angle.
- Open a route behind the upper brick rows early.
- Do not chase a power-up if it risks the ball.
- Watch the incoming ball rather than the last breaking brick.
Strategy
Use the opening returns to control angle through the contact point on the paddle. A side hit sends the ball across the board and is more likely to open a narrow path beside the brick wall. Once the ball enters the space above the rows, let it work there while you move early toward its eventual descent rather than watching the latest brick animation.
Level play rewards aiming at stubborn corners, whereas an endless run rewards a trajectory you can repeatedly receive as speed increases. Read each rebound and place the paddle under the projected landing point before making fine corrections. A falling power-up is optional: collect it only when its route overlaps a safe return. Short controlled movements preserve accuracy better than chasing the ball at the last instant.
Common mistakes
- Waiting until the ball reaches the bottom removes correction time; predict its landing position immediately after each rebound.
- Chasing every power-up risks the active ball; abandon a bonus when the two paths separate too far.
- Always meeting the ball centrally limits useful angles; vary the contact point to reach bricks near the sides.

Where the game comes from
The idea comes from the earliest days of coin-operated machines. In 1976 a cabinet appeared that reduced the electronic table tennis of the previous years to a single player: the opponent was no longer a second person but a wall that disappeared piece by piece.
What made it work was that the wall answered back while changing its own shape. Punching a channel through to the top rows produced a ball trapped up there, clearing rows on its own — still the most elegant way to win a round.
Frequently asked questions
How do level and endless play differ in Brick Breaker?
Levels present designed arrangements that must be cleared with limited attempts. Endless play continues with increasing difficulty. A controlled and repeatable return path therefore matters more over time than finishing one arrangement as quickly as possible.
Can the paddle change the ball's direction?
Yes. The point where the ball meets the paddle influences its outgoing angle. Contacts closer to an edge generally create a steeper diagonal, while a central meeting produces a calmer and more predictable return.
Do I need to catch every power-up?
No. A bonus may widen the paddle or add another useful effect, but keeping the ball alive comes first. If reaching the item would leave the predicted landing point uncovered, let the item go.
